Cricket Stars out in Force at The Old Course

The first round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship saw some famous names from the world of cricket descending on The Old Course in St Andrews.

One group included former England captain, Michael Vaughan, and Aussie ‘king of spin’, Shane Warne. Vaughan rushed ahead of the rest to have the 18th green to himself. Although when he got there he didn’t seem sure which one was his ball.

Legendary England all-rounder, Sir Ian Botham, was back at the Dunhill again this year. However, his approach shot at 18 left him down in the ‘Valley of Sin’.

Former England batsman, Allan Lamb, seemed to be competing with Botham in the outrageous trousers stakes with a fetching zebra pattern number. Channel 5 cricket presenter, Mark Nicholas, to the left of shot, must have been wondering whether to comment on his swing or his strides.
