A beautiful Saturday for the most part with just the occasional shower made for good photography weather. The entrance to The Old Course Hotel looked gorgeous in its autumn colours whilst the wind-scattered leaves and the water from the previous night’s downpour combined to make a stunning scene on the eighteenth fairway.

The good weather also saw people head for the beach. The West Sands was perfect for kite flying.

Meanwhile, in the heart of the town, in the tiny public garden on Baker Lane between South Street and Market Street I found these great mushrooms, thought to be shaggy pholiota (Pholiota squarrosa).
